A new, more inclusive mission for AIGA NY.

I am pleased to share this message on behalf of AIGA NY.

Hello AIGA NY Community,

Last October, we sent a community update to share what we’d be working on next – including a new mission statement for our chapter. Today, we’d like to share it with you.

We see this statement as our collective commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable design community and as volunteer stewards of this chapter, we are working to bring it to life.

Fulfilling our mission is an ongoing practice. By sharing this with you, our community, and holding ourselves accountable to it, we hope to create a space for graceful learning and organizational resilience. We are not going to get it right every time, but we'll learn and do better together.

In that spirit, we’d like to hear your thoughts at questions@aigany.org. This statement and its outcomes only work if they’re helpful and meaningful to you.

Thank you,

The AIGA NY Board
